1. Who We Are

The controller of your personal data is Tanqo ("we", "us", "our"), reachable at [email protected].

2. Data We Collect

Analytics cookies (only with your consent): When you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised usage data — pages visited, session duration, and approximate country. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser.

Browser geolocation (future feature): When you use the "near me" search, your browser will ask for permission. Coordinates are sent as query parameters to our API solely to find nearby stations and are never stored on our servers.

Language preference (Preference): We set a tanqo_locale cookie to remember your chosen language (English or Polish). It contains only the value "en" or "pl", has a maximum age of 1 year, and is used solely for service functionality. You can delete it by clearing your browser cookies.

Email address (coming soon): If you sign up for early access, your email is stored to send you product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Waitlist email: When you submit your email address via the early access form on our website, we store that address to notify you when tanqo launches. We use this data solely for that purpose and will not share it with third parties. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at the address in the "Contact" section.

Server logs (IP address): Our web servers automatically log your IP address in standard HTTP access logs. This data is retained in accordance with our security and legal obligations and is processed under our legitimate interest in maintaining server security and functionality.

3. Legal Basis

Analytics: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — your explicit consent via the cookie banner.

Geolocation: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — your explicit browser permission, requested at point of use.

Email (waitlist): Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — your explicit consent at sign-up.

Language preference: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — your consent via the cookie banner. The tanqo_locale cookie stores only your language choice and is set for up to 1 year.

4. Third Parties

Google Analytics (Google LLC, USA): Processes analytics data on our behalf. Data transfer to the USA is governed by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. See Google's Privacy Policy.

OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, UK): Our application displays map tiles served from *.tile.openstreetmap.org. When the map is loaded, your IP address is transmitted to OpenStreetMap servers as part of the standard HTTP request. We do not process or store this data. See OpenStreetMap's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

Analytics: Google Analytics retains event data for 2 months by default (our configured retention period).

Cookie consent preference: Stored in your browser's localStorage until you clear it or change your preference via "Cookie settings".

Language preference: Stored in the tanqo_locale cookie for 1 year. Contains only "en" or "pl". You can delete it by clearing your browser cookies.
